Taking a closer look at Wyoming statue 35-9-108, the A.P.S. research team realized how important it is for its hood installation customers to know the Wyoming state standards as well as the NFPA codes before starting a hood installation.

The state of Wyoming requires information of two types for the permitting process. This includes information pertaining to the fire suppression system and information pertaining to the hood, duct, and exhaust fan installation.

These systems (hood system and fire suppression system) work hand in hand and operate as one complex unit. The problem however for Laramie, Cheyenne, and other cities in Wyoming arise when local hood installation companies who specialize in only a single aspect of this unit are hired for the installation. For this reason many restaurant in Laramie and Cheyenne have been forced to submit this information in two parts to the state.

The consequence of doing so may be limited to having the job being prolonged. The worse situation scenario is that the system itself does not operate as desired. For this reason it is important for restaurants wanting to install a hood, to find companies or contractors that are experts in both hood installations and fire suppression systems.
